The Chocolate World Expo brought many tri-state area chocolatiers, bakers, or anyone whose specialty is sweet confections for a takeover of The Maritime Aquarium on Sunday, January 27, 2013.
In their first year at The Maritime Aquarium, the Chocolate World Expo drew in excess of 4,000 people, all looking to sample everything from truffles to tarts, and even chocolate dipped Belgian waffles, maple cotton candy, chocolate covered bacon, and my oh my, those two giant chocolate fountains! And of course many in attendance were not without a bag stocked with chocolate goodness.
The Expo, according to Chris Loynd, The Aquarium’s Director of Marketing, was a great way to bring people in not just to satisfy their sweet tooth but so they could visit The Maritime Aquarium, which was included in the Chocolate Expo’s admission price.
With the successful turnout of this joint venture between The Maritime Aquarium and the Chocolate World Expo, The Expo’s producer Marvin Baum said it’s a safe bet that this chocolate festival will return to Norwalk.
As a chocolate fiend, one can only hope.

The Chocolate World Expo will be heading to Garden City, NY on March 3! Don’t miss it! For more info, visit them online at
And don’t miss out on anything going on at The Maritime Aquarium! Aquatic life, frogs, IMAX movies, heck, you can even touch rays and sharks!
Hey, look! It’s Food Dude Damion! Ahhh!!!
