Photos + Recap from #GWFF2015!

The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival is easily one of my favorite in the state to attend and it’s never short on fun, food, drinks and good friends. Not only do I have a blast meeting people and chatting with the vendors, but I know most of them and it’s cool to see chefs do their thing (and get honored) who I have come to know professionally and personally. GWFF is also a great excuse to hang with food blogger buddies (and real life friends too) from OmNomCT, Local Food Rocks, CTbites, The Home Place Blog, dee Cuisine, and Savory Sweet Eats. This year I didn’t only attend Saturday’s Culinary Village and the actual Fest, but I got to go to the festivities the night before at the Most Innovative Chefs Gala that honored local chefs, each of whom cooked their signature dishes for the crowd.

Another favorite was Chef Pat’s pork belly w/tomato jam, runny egg, polenta.

Chef Jess from The Granola Bar made one of the best chicken Pad Thai dishes I’ve had. It wasn’t one note like most Pad Thai, it had some citrus that really brightened it up.

And this is what they made. Yeah, that’s sliced pig’s head in a cinnamon sugar donut with maple syrup. This is all-time great.

  2. Great photos and recap! Loved all the chefs this year – but I really missed the CT Bites tent!
    Loved seeing Alex Guarnachelli up close and personal and GZ is always amazing! Adam Richman is great – love his New Haven connection and his love of CT, Hoping my man Aaron Sanchez returns next year!

  4. Really nice guy. He didn't try to bail on the conversation, kept talking, was engaging. He was hosting but just kinda chillin with his girl. I felt bad to interrupt but he didn't seem to mind at all.


  5. I also miss the CTbites lounge. This year I didn't really feel the way they GWFF did it. The interviews that took place outside couldn't even be heard and I felt bad for my friends who hosted some of the interviews and for the chefs that were part of it. Hope they bring it back the way it was before. It would've been nice to get some time with the celeb chefs. I so badly wanted to meet Alex and Geoffrey.
